Starting at the base of the mountain you'll traverse a dirt path that eventually leads you out of the area offering you your first breathtaking view of Tigers Nest.


There are a couple of cafeterias, along the way where you can take a break and grab some food. The trail is adorned with prayer flags adding to its charm. Take in the views as you ascend further. Once you're through you'll come across prayer wheels that you can spin for luck. Some hikers opt to conclude their journey as it provides a view of the monastery. The latter part of the hike is less strenuous offering a vantage point of the surroundings. This is the spot to capture photos of the monastery from various angles. Most iconic pictures of the monastery are taken from this perspective. Remember not to bring shoes or photography gear inside the monastery premises as they're prohibited. Best Time to visit Bhutan
