Your Journey, Step by Step
Day 2: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
In the early morning, we can have a beautiful view of the valley. We leave the hotel after having breakfast and start hiking to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the main administrative and trading center for the Khumbu region. With the inclusive of magnificent forests of blue pine, fir, juniper, and rhododendron as well as the first view of Everest, it helps you to control the anticipation of the thrilling journey. It will take us 4-5 hrs of a trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. The trails climb steeply and have a breathtaking view of Namcha Bazaar. We can have a beautiful view of Mountain View from there. We stay overnight at Lodge/Hotel.
Day 3: Rest and acclimation day
It is very necessary to take a rest and built our bodies for high altitudes. On this day we take a rest and just explore Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a beautiful village with many wonderful and interesting shops and vendors, fabulous food, and an eye-catching view of the mountains. In the afternoon time, we can take a short walk to Thami or Khumjung, viewing Everest (the world’s 1st highest), Ama Dabal, and Lhoste’s (4th highest pick), and the Pumori viewpoint. We can see the different traditional houses in Sherpa Museum.
Day 4: Trek to Tengboche (3,870m)
After taking a full day of rest and energizing our bodies in Namche Bazaar. We continue our journey by following the trekking guide on the following trail. We can have a lovely view of Ama Dablam, Lhoste, and Taboche. The trail passes through the Sherpa village, where we can see the agricultural style of the Sherpa community. There we can see yak also. After the Sherpa village, we climb down to the Dudh Koshi River via stone, range over a suspension bridge, and make an abrupt ascend through the woodland. We passed the prayer wheels powered by the forest of flowing water, we set our foot in Tengboche. It took around 5-6 hrs of a hike to reach Tengboche. We explore the Tengboche Monastery in the evening. It is the largest monastery in the Khumba Region which is overlooked by the peaks of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We stay overnight at the Hotel/Lodge over there.
Day 5: Trek to Dingboche (4410m)
We start our trekking early in the morning after having a beautiful view of sunrise. Today we trek up to Dingboche. To reach Dingboche we have to pass through the Pangboche village. The trail is advanced by the many large boulders and prayer stones that range over a suspension bridge built above Imja Khola. After passing a number of chortens; the trekking trail finally reaches Pangboche Village. We can explore the Pangboche Monastery. It is the oldest monastery in the Khumba Region and witnesses the beautiful outlook of Mt Ama Dablam. After following the guide through the following trail, passes to the Somare Village, and climbing uphill through Alpine vegetation and we set our foot in Dingboche. It took around 5-6 hrs to reach Dingboche. We stay overnight at the Hotel/Lodge in the Dingboche
Day 6: Trek to Chhukung Valley (4,700)
We continue our trek to Chhukung valley. We can reach there in just a couple of hours of hike. We cross the stone-walled farmland of Dingboche Village and proceed beyond the Imja Valley. Continuing the hike we enter glacial moraines amid the formidable Himalayas and forge ahead to Bibre. We can see their yak herdsmen settlement. We can have a beautiful view of snow Caps Mountain Ama Dablam and neighboring snowy peaks. After that, we move across a frigid stream and make it to Chhukung Valley. We can explore the sublime place and enjoy its natural splendor. We stay overnight at the Hotel/Lodge.
Day 7: Trek to Chhukung Base Camp (5,090)
On this day we will get close to the Chhukung peak. We hike to the Base camp of Chhukung peak. Base camp is a very beautiful place, which is surrounded by snow. We can have a close and beautiful view of Chhukung peak. The environment around the base camp is cold and has very fresh air. On a clear day, we can enjoy spell-binning surrounding scenery comprising splendid landscapes. At the base camp, we set up our camps for overnight accommodation and prepare for the upper ascent to the summit simultaneously. We can take simple basic information for climbing in the evening and go camping to sleep early. Because tomorrow early morning will be a very special day.
Day 8: Climbing to Chhukung-Ri Peak (5,550m/18200 ft) and back to Chhukung valley
This is a very special day on our tour. On this day we climb up to the top of the peak. We start climbing early in the morning. It will be very interesting and adventurous climbing. Walk in the snow is hard but once we reach the top of the peak. We forget all the hardness. The view from the top of the peak is really marvelous. In addition, we can have 360 views of surroundings with heavenly natural settings. We enjoy some time on the top of the mountain to enjoy the view and captor this amazing movement in the camera. We slowly return down to the base camp and we again hike to the Chhukung Valley. We stay overnight at the Hotel/lodge.
Day 9: Reserve day for climbing in case of bad weather
This day is considered a reserve day because the weather at the high altitude can change at any time. If the weather went bad then we can’t climb the peak. It will be very risky to climb the peak in bad weather.
Day 10: Trek back to Tengboche
Now we trek downhill from Chhukung valley to Tengboche. It takes around 6-7hrs a downhill hike to reach Tengboche. We follow the guide and follow the trail crossing glacial moraine, chortens, boulderstone, monasteries, suspension bridges, pinewoods, and numerous Sherpa settlements such as Biber, Dingboche, Somare, Pangboche, and Deboche; we set our foot in the village of Tengboche. We stay overnight in the Hotel/Lodge of Tengboche.
Day 11: Trek back to Namche Bazaaar
We can have a beautiful view of sunrise from Tengboche. Sunrise changes the color of the mountain, which turns into golden red and orange light at the peak. Having a beautiful view of the sunrise can make your mood fresh. We trek to the Namche bazaar today. We trek down across the suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River. After That, we cross the multiple Sherpa Village and woodlands of pine trees to Namche Bazaar. If we are lucky, it will be market (Bazaar) time in Namche Bazaar. Regardless, there is always fabulous food to be found, including real espresso, yak steaks and chocolate cake with frosting! This market is where lowland porters bearing supplies meet the highland Sherpas. We stay overnight at Namche Bazar
Day 12: Trek back to Lukla
On this day we trek back to Lukla. We can enjoy the trail with full of greenery and a view of long-range mountains. The trail passes through the beautiful Sherpa village. After a short break here in the Sherpa capital, we resume our trek along the Dudh Koshi River to Lukla. We stay overnight at Hotel/ Lodge.
Day 13: Fly back to Kathmandu
On this day we take our flight back to Kathmandu. Before our flight, we explore the beautiful village of Lukla. Lukla is famous as the village of the Sherpa community. We can see the culture of the villagers and some monasteries. After exploring the Lukla village, we take our flight and after 40min we successfully reach at Kathmandu we go to our hotel and there we have a small fare well program with dinner. We enjoy the program by singing and dancing. We take our dinner and end our memorable Chhukung Peak climbing.

Suitable Time to visit
The best time to visit Chhukung peak is in the spring and autumn seasons. The Spring season starts from February to May, it is also the season of rhododendron blooming and autumn starts from September to December. These seasons have a perfect view of snow Camp Mountain with limited snow, suitable conditions, reasonable visibility, and temperatures.
