Itinerary
Your Journey, Step by Step
Day 2: Hike from Chisapani to Nagarkot
On the second day of our trek, we will enjoy it full of glory. We will wake up early in the morning to have a beautiful view of the sunrise. Then, we’ll have our breakfast there. The trail gradually leads toward Nagarkot, one of Nepal’s most famous hill stations. On clear days, you can witness panoramic views of Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and even Everest in the distance. Along the way, we pass through villages inhabited by the Newari people, offering insight into local culture and lifestyle.
This day features gentle ridgelines and open landscapes with sweeping mountain views. We will have our snack lunch, take short breaks, and continue our trekking. Enjoying every trail and the surroundings, we reach Nagarkot after 5-6 hours of hiking, covering a distance of approximately 14-16 kilometres.
Nagarkot is a popular hill station situated at an elevation of 2,175m. Nagarkot is especially famous for its sunrise and sunset, making this night a highlight of the entire hike. We’ll stay overnight and enjoy our dinner at the hotel in Nagarkot.
Day 3: Hike from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel
On the third day, wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayan ranges from Nagarkot. After enjoying breakfast, the trail gradually descends toward Dhulikhel, passing through scenic terraced fields, fragrant pine forests, and charming local villages. This hike takes around 5 hours and offers a wonderful glimpse into rural life along the way.Â
The hike concludes at Dhulikhel, an ancient Newari town renowned for its temples, traditional architecture, and rich cultural heritage. Dhulikhel provides a perfect and comfortable place to rest after the hike with cosy hotels, delicious local cuisine, and stunning mountain backdrops. We’ll stay overnight, having dinner in Dhulikhel at the end of the third day.
Day 4: Exploring Namobuddha hill and back to Kathmandu
The final hiking day leads toward the sacred site of Namo Buddha, located in Kavre district, one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Nepal. Wake up early, have breakfast, and continue our trek towards Namobudhha. The hike to Namo Buddha takes around 4 to 5 hours and covers a distance of approximately 10-12 kilometres.
Reaching Namo Buddha, the peaceful monastery complex and chanting monks create a deeply spiritual atmosphere, an ideal conclusion to the journey. We will have our lunch there. After lunch at Namo Buddha, you may choose to return via Panauti, a historic town rich in temples and cultural heritage. We then drive back to Kathmandu, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
