Ghale Gaun Trek

Welcome to the beautiful country Nepal. After a long flight from your home town, you land on the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Upon landing, our representative will receive you from the airport and drop you to your desired hotel. If your arrival is in the afternoon, you can stroll around the nearby area. Later, you will be briefed about our program and helped with the preparation. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Today, you will have an early morning breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your hotel and you will have a drive to Besisahar. Our driving route first goes through Prithivi Highway following the Trishuli River. Then we cross the river and further follow the Marsyangdi River. Continuing our drive, we pass several villages of Gurung, Magar with beautiful scenery. And finally after around 6 hours’ drive with beautiful views of green hills, rivers we reach to Besisahar.

Besisahar is a district headquarter of Lamjung District. Here you find people of different castes and religions. And this place has a sub-tropical climate with deciduous forest. On reaching Besisahar we will have some lunch and head toward Khudi.

Leaving Besisahar, we chase the narrow trail to Pam Khola. Then we cross a stream and start trekking along the bank of Marsyangdi River. And our continuous walk along the paddy fields and tropical forest lead us to Khudi. Khudi is a beautiful Gurung village. Overnight at Khudi.

After delicious breakfast on Khudi, we hike to the main destination of our trek. our trek begins toward the northwest of Khudi. Our trek continues along the bank of the river. Out trail passes through the fertile fields and forest. We cross several villages and waterfalls along the way. And finally, our around 4 hours’ trek enjoying the mountain beauty, we reach to the Ghale Gaun.

Ghale Gaun is a small Gurung village situated at the foot of Lamjung Himal. It is blessed with beautiful landscapes. On reaching Ghale Gaun you will be ardently welcomed by the homestay community. Ghale Gaun provides a panoramic view of the mountain which is worth to watch. We will have a breathtaking sunset over the Annapurna and Manaslu. Overnight at Ghale Gaun.

We are spending another day at Ghale Gaun. We will have a delicious breakfast after a wonderful sunrise view over the snow white-peaks. Ghale Gaun offers an amazing view of the majestic Himalayas including Machhapuchhre, Annapurna range, Lamjung Himal, Bouddha Himal, Himalchuli and many other snowcapped peaks. Today, we will hike around this beautiful Ghale Gaun. Ghale Gaun is mainly inhabited by the Gurung ethnic group. The houses are constructed in the same design. You get to know about the lifestyle and their living standards while exploring. Additionally, you witness a true insight of Gurung culture. In the evening, after dinner villagers show a cultural program of their won at the village. Overnight at Ghale Gaun homestay.  

With the beginning of another beautiful day, we begin our trek to Laxmi Bazaar. After breakfast, we follow the trail that steeply descends to the Rudi stream across the suspension bridge. Then we continue our trek to its ridge. And upon reaching the ridge you will be rewarded by the spectacular views of mountains. Laxmi Bazaar is a typical mix village and a nice small town. On the lake day of our trek, we are trekking to the beautiful Begnas Lake. Begnas lake (second largest lake in Pokhara valley) is a freshwater lake situated in the south-east of the Pokhara valley. Our trail goes through a narrow road leaving the highway. We walk over a dead flat terrain of rice fields toward the hills. On reaching Begnas Lake, you can have a boat ride. After spending some time in Begnas Lake, we have a short scenic drive from Begnas Lake to Pokhara

After reaching Pokhara, you will have free time for self-exploration. Overnight in the beautiful city of Lake, Pokhara.

After a wonderful breakfast in Pokhara, we will have a scenic drive to Kathmandu. We will have a beautiful drive along the Prithivi Highway. Additionally, we have a drive along the famous rafting riverside, Trishuli river. And after around 7 hours drive with the beautiful view of terraces, streams, river, high hills and local settlements. On reaching Kathmandu, we will drop you to your hotel. You can freshen up and have some rest. You can also stroll around the Thamel area. In the evening you will have a cultural dinner with Bold Himalaya. Overnight at Kathmandu. 

After a wonderful trek to Ghale Gaun, today we have to say goodbye. Our representative will drop you to the international airport before you schedule a flight.
