Overview

Sikles village is the largest Gurung village after Ghandruk. This village is a well-preserved example of traditional Gurung culture. Sikles village lies to the north of Pokhara, in Kaski district. This village is a central part of the Annapurna Conservation Area. Sikles is also one of the oldest beautiful villages. Besides that, it is a home to those fearless recruits who listed in the Gurkha Army. This typical Gurung village is interesting with the culture, ethnic language, and lifestyle. It is an excellent and well-preserved village at an elevation of 3,000m. Likewise, it is a remote village in the shadow of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal.

Sikles village is trek has been most loved trekking areas among trekkers. As it is a short and easy trek to the rarely visited village in the Annapurna region. Moreover, it is one of the picturesque treks that unfold the natural beauty in Nepal. And is a great introduction to the beauty of the Annapurna range. It is also an ideal trek for those limited time trekker, carving to sense the Himalayan beauty. And want to experience the culture of the people living in the mid-hill hamlets of Nepal. During the trek, you can have a view of the Great Mountain and rough terrain. So, it has been one of the alternatives to other short treks in the Annapurna region.

Sikles trek in the Annapurna region takes you through the wonderful trails. Rhododendron, oak forest penetrates at a time to time. Further, the trail winds through terraced hills, captivating lowlands, and mountain villages. And the panoramic views of Fishtail peak and other mountains enchants the trail. 

You have a mesmerizing panorama of Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri. Including Tukuche, Dhampus, Gangapurna, Lamjung, Hiunchuli while trekking. Walking through rocky terrain, with beautiful snow-capped mountains views is perfect trekking. Further, you hike through the wonder of green nature, cold and fresh air. While trekking through the forest you might also spot wild deer. Likewise, you might encounter other species of flora and fauna.

Additionally, the village is a Rishing Danda. Here you get the mesmerizing view of the peaks of Annapurna and Lamjung. You experience local-lifestyle, handicraft production in Sikles.

Day 1

Arrival at Kathmandu

Welcome to our beautiful country Nepal. Upon your arrival at the International airport, our representative will greet you. After greeting, we will transfer to your desired hotel and will help with Check-in. You can have some rest first then you will have briefed about your program. After the preparation of trek, you can stroll around the Thamel area. You can also visit Pashupatinath Temple for night Arati. Overnight at Kathmandu Hotel

 

Day 2

Drive to Pokhara

Today, you will have an early morning breakfast in your hotel room. After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your hotel by a private vehicle. And drop you to the tourist bus station. From the station, you will have scenic drive via Prithivi highway to Pokhara. This ride gives you beautiful scenery of landscapes, waterfalls, hills side. Moreover, it’s a drive along the famous rafting river, Trishuli river. On the way, you pass several beautiful settlements. And you reach Pokhara after around 7 hour’s drive.

On reaching Pokhara, you will have lunch and some rest. As you are spending a day here. You can explore nearby places today. Pokhara is a famous tourist destination there are many places to visit. Some of the popular places are Fewa Tal, Begnas Tal, Mahendra Gufa(cave) and other caves, temples. In the evening, you can walk around the lakeside is very beautiful and refreshing. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 3

Pokhara to Bijayapur Khola-Drive, trek to Kalikasthan (1,370m/4,4994ft)

With a beautiful morning, we will have breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast, we have another short drive to Bijayapur Khola. It is just 1 or 1:30 hour drive. We have a beautiful drive following the scenic winding highway. It offering the views of Pokhara valley and the Himalayan ranges. After reaching Bijayapur Khola, we start our trek and head toward Kalikasthan

From Bijayapur Khola, we follow the trail walkthrough flat paddy fields for an hour. We then cross the river and start ascending to Kalikasthan. On the way, we climb Rahagoan and Chautara. You can have some rest in Chautara and enjoy the beautiful views. And after crossing the Brahmin villages, we reach Kalikasthan. After some rest, you can explore the beautiful surrounding areas. Overnight at Kalikasthan.

Day 4

Trek to Lama Khet (1,680m/5,511m)

After breakfast in Kalikasthan, we head toward Lama Khet. Our trek from Kalikasthan to Lama Khet starts following a gentle path. We pass through local villages of mixed ethnic groups. Besides that, we walk through rice terraces up to Mardi Khola. Now, our trek follows the river bank trial, which makes our walk easy. On the way, we cross several villages like Bhaise, Nawaldanda and reach Lama Khet. Lama Khet is a beautiful small village, surrounded by green hills. Overnight at Lama Khet

 

Day 5

Trek to Sikles(1980m/6,496ft)

Leaving Lama Khet, we follow the trail to Sikles. We follow the trail that stretches at a flat level along the river bank. Continuing the trail, we reach Khilan Gaon. After Khilan Goan, we follow the path with steep ups at some distance. We then pass through Parju village on the way. And finally, a continuous climb takes us to Sikles village. Sikles is one of the oldest and big Gurung village. It is located to the northeast of Pokhara. And it is also considered to be the second-largest Gurung village

Sikles village is a well-preserved example of traditional Gurung culture. from here, you can see avalanches thundering down off the mountainside. This village is in the shadow of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal. So, you can have mesmerizing views of the peaks of Annapurna II and Lamjung. Overnight at Sikles.

Day 6

Trek Forest Camp (2,200m/7,217ft)

After a wonderful day in Sikles, today we trek to Forest Camp. It’s going to be a beautiful trek. From Sikles, we walk through the forest of rhododendron and broad-leaf mixed. The trail has a gradual uphill. We continue our walk in some flat land. And following the trail, we reach to Forest Camp. Reaching Forest Camp, you can see it is surrounded by forest. Overnight at Forest Camp

Day 7

Trek to Ghale Gaon (2,000m/6,561ft)

From Forest Camp, we start our trek to Ghale Gaun after breakfast. Today also, we are trekking through a forest covered with rhododendron. Moreover, while walking we cross the highest pass of the trek. On the way, you have phenomenal views of the mountains. Like Bouddha Himal, Himalchuli, Manaslu, Lamjung Himal and Annapurna. And following the trail, you reach Ghale Gaun. Ghale Gaun is a beautiful village where you can enjoy the hospitality of the host family. This family belongs to great Gurkha warriors, Gurung. Overnight at Ghale Gaun.

Day 8

Trek to Hyamgja (1,070m/3,510ft) Drive to Pokhara.

Today, we will have a short trek to Hyamgja. It is also the last day for trekking. We have a gentle descend up to Hyamgja. After reaching Hyamgja, we board a vehicle to go to Pokhara. A beautiful scenic drive takes us to Pokhara. You can have some rest after reaching. And later wander around nearby places. Overnight at Pokhara

Day 9

Pokhara to Kathmandu Drive

After a wonderful breakfast in Pokhara, we will have a scenic drive to Kathmandu. We will have a beautiful drive along the Prithivi Highway. Additionally, we have a drive along the famous rafting riverside, Trishuli river. And after around 7 hours drive with the beautiful view of terraces, streams, river, high hills and local settlements. On reaching Kathmandu, we will drop you to your hotel. You can freshen up and have some rest. You can also stroll around the Thamel area. In the evening you will have a cultural dinner with Bold Himalaya. Overnight at Kathmandu

Day 10

Departure

It’s a time to leave Nepal and return to your hometown. Our representative will drop you to International Airport, 3 hours before your scheduled flight. Hoping you had a great experience while trekking, we wave you goodbye
