Itinerary

As you arrive at Mumbai airport, our representative from Bold Himalaya will welcome you and assist you to your respective hotel. We will check-in and rest and tranquilize at the hotel. In the evening,  visit the beach, try some local food or go shopping in vibrant markets.

Mumbai was given the name City of Dreams owing to the fabulous opportunity it holds, mainly in Hindi cinema. The city is the capital of Maharashtra and passes the jumping waves of the Arabian Sea. Its cityscape might remind us of that of New York. But along with the dashing nooks, Mumbai has cherished its heritage and history and takes endless pride in all of that. It is undeniable that this very city gives a cut-throat competition to even the most advanced cities worldwide, let alone India.

Today, we will start our day with a lavish breakfast. Then, we will leave for sightseeing in Mumbai. We will cover the best tourist sights in the city the entire day. We will start with the visit to UNESCO World Heritage Site Elephanta Caves in the Elephanta Caves. Then, we will move on to explore the Prince of Wales Museum, Hanging Garden, Juhu Beach, Gateway of India, and more. We will also pay a visit to the Marine Drive

Elephant Cave is located in Gharapuri (The City of Caves), approximately ten kilometers away from Mumbai Harbor. The caves consist mainly of two groups, Hindu Caves (consisting of five caves) and Buddhist Caves (consisting of two caves). This rock-cut architecture adopted for the caves is datable to a time between the 5th and 8th centuries and dedicated to Lord Shiva. However, a convenient date of its construction is yet a mystery but historians have terminated them to the time when Mauryan rulers were conquered by Badami Chalukyas in 635 AD. At that time, the Elephanta was the capital of Konkan Mauryas and was called Puri or Purina. The caves present are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The next attraction of our Mumbai Goa tour is the Prince of Wales Museum, also known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya. It was established in the 20th century in order to celebrate the visit of Prince Wales. There are about 50,000 displays inside the museum divided into three categories- Art, Archeology, and Natural History. Artifacts and Momento of Indus Valley Civilization, Guptas, Rashtrakutas, Mauryas, Chalukyas, and others are put here for the public array. Other than this, we can behold beautiful prints, the illustration of different wildlife species, paintings, manuscripts, etc.

The landmark of Mumbai, ‘The Gateway of India’ is just a few kilometers away from the museum. This structure was built in order to commemorate the visit of their Majestic King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. We will explore the Hanging Garden in our leisure time, which is perched at the top of Malabar Hill, overlooking the beautiful Arabian Sea. This polished terrace garden is adorned with a huge variety of plants and flower species.  The popular beach of Mumbai, “Juhu Beach” is crowded with visitors. Here, some of Mumbai’s best street food and restaurants are located. Also, Marine Drive is located in the heart of Mumbai, just beside a busy road. But the horns and shouts of the city’s road don’t really obstruct the serenity that is obtained here while sipping a cup of coffee and just simply unraveling. Overnight in a hotel.

Leaving behind Mumbai, we will proceed towards Mumbai airport to board the flight for Goa. On our arrival in Goa, we will meet one of our tour representatives and transfer to the hotel for the stay. The rest of the day is free to either rest or explore.

Goa and its beaches pull enormous crowd from different corners of the world. The state is a well-known destination of India, specifically for the beach- persons and party-animals. We will get to relish in the depth of crystal clear water, wavering palm grooves and shiny sands, which are the main attractions of Goa.  But this is not all that Goa is about, its shopping scenario, biodiversity, architecture, heritage and culture happen to be assets of equal share. It is recognized for its mellow vibe, but with all the luxuries one could think of, even the ones unthinkable. Overnight in hotel.

After having a delightful breakfast, we will visit the appealing beaches of Goa such as Calangute, Dona Paula, Miramar, and Baga Beach. We can also explore the historical Old Goa Churches and Fort Aguada. Aguada fort was build up in 1613 for the purpose of safeguarding from Marathas and Dutch. Even today, the structure is well-preserved and pass a beautiful panorama of sea and expanse of woods.

We will enjoy sightseeing tour of old Goa. We will take blessings at Cidade De Goa, Church, Basilica Bom Jesus, and Convent of Francis of Assisi, Church of Saint Monica, Museum of Christian Art and Church of Saint Cajetan. Later, we will explore the treasures of the Solar Souto Maior, Fontainhas, and Panjim. Then, we will proceed to take a walk around the vibrant markets of Panjim. This is the capital of Goa and has regional as well as branded stores for shopaholics. While shopping, we will indulge in the savoury tastes of local cuisines and take a break from the days' sightseeing for lunch. Foodies can find a multitude of restaurants giving cut-throat competition to each other in the sense of taste, ambience, and décor. Afterwards, we will visit Baga Beach which is filled with exuberance and youthful vibe and enjoy the water-sport activities. Overnight stay in the hotel.

We will start the day with a mouthwatering breakfast. Then, will pay a visit to the scenic beaches of South Goa. Today, we will visit the major attractions like Mangueshi Temple, Shanta Durga Temple, Colva Beach, and others.

Mangueshi Temple is a well-known temple of Goa and also one of the largest in the state. It is devoted to Bhagavan Manguesh, an incarnation of Hindu Lord Shiva. Another holy place inside the temple is of Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesha, Gajanana, Gramapurusha Deva Sharma, Nandikeshvar, Bhagvati, Lakshminarayan, and others. We will get blessings at Mangueshi Temples. Shanta Durga Temple has its past dating back to 1730, when the foundation stone was established. The shrine was built of laterite mud earlier and was later modernized in 1966. Major Goddess of the temple, Goddess Shantadurga mediates between Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Later, we will proceed for a visit to Margao, the headquarters of South Goa. It is also a commercial and industrial centre. Margao’s colonial quarter Largo De Igreja is a historical church square, enclosed by old buildings that have their own charisma. It is enclosed by old buildings from three sides and the Church of Holy Spirit on the other. The church is one of Goa’s greatest churches datable to 1564 when it was built. Its architecture represents the Indian Baroque style of architecture, with interiors having a glorious feel throughout.

To learn further about the simple lifestyle of Goa, Ancestral Goa is an ideal place to be in. The laterite sculpture of Saint Mirabai is absolutely the tallest laterite sculpture of India. Identity and history are presented through its art galleries, artefacts centre, an open-air museum.

We will conclude today’s sightseeing with a visit to the beautiful Menezes Braganza House in Chandor. It was built in the 17th century and is located on one side of the village square, but now divided into two houses with the same doorway. On its east is a small church that has monuments of St. Francis Xavier. The interior reminds us of a beautiful past. On its westward is where we can find the claimed first private library of Goa. Stay overnight in the hotel.

The tour comes to an end today. After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, our executives will pick you up and drop you at the airport or railway station. Mumbai Goa Tour is a wonderful opportunity for families, individuals and couples to take a break from the struggle of city-life and step out of their comfort zone on a journey of self-discovery. You will feel contented about a wonderful holiday you spent in the “City of Beaches”. It’s time to say goodbye to Goa with a memorable and cherish experience. Have a safe flight.
