About Meal


Phulchowki is the highest mountain in the south of Kathmandu Valley. It is known for its rich biodiversity, which includes many birds and plants. The mountain offers panoramic views of the Himalayas, Kathmandu Valley, and surrounding mountains.

 From Kathmandu, you can transfer to the Phulchowki base by private car. The journey takes about an hour and the hiking starts from Godavari in the foothills towards Phulchowki.

Basic needs include walking shoes, a water bottle, a hat, sunscreen, a light jacket (it gets cold at high altitudes), and snacks. Also, bring a camera to capture the beautiful view.

There may be small teahouses or shops on the road, especially near the top of the mountain. However, since food and water will be limited, it is useful to have snacks and water with you.

The best time to go on a day trip to Filchocki is spring (March to May) or autumn (September to November) when the weather is generally clear and the scenery is beautiful.
