The trek is approximately 15 kilometers and takes 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach Sundarijal, the starting point of the trek. The trek starts from the scenic Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park and gradually climbs through the forest and quaint villages. Chisapani is famous for its beautiful treks and panoramic views of the Himalayas, including the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges. This is a great place for nature lovers and hikers looking for a short and scenic walk near Kathmandu.

The journey to Chisapani usually starts from Sundarijal which takes about one hour's drive from Kathmandu. From Sundarijal, you'll begin your hike to Chisapani which takes around 3 to 4 hours according to the fitness level and speed of hikers.

Chisapani walk is considered an easy-level walk. However, these walks may include some uphill and downhill climbing, so an appropriate amount of exercise is recommended.

Chisapani is a small village and may not have an ATM. It is recommended that you bring enough money for the trip, which you can withdraw in Kathmandu before departure.

Bring essential items like boots, warm clothes, a backpack, a water bottle, snacks, a first aid kit, and any other items you may need. Check the weather forecast and pack accordingly.
