Your Journey, Step by Step
Fly Kathmandu to Lukla (2,845/9,333ft.) - Trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,699ft) 8 km, Duration: 3 hours
We will start our Everest Base Camp 13 day’s trek with a scenic flight. After early morning breakfast in Kathmandu, we transfer you to the domestic airport and fly to Lukla, Tenzing Hillary airport. About 30 minutes of scenic flight from Kathmandu, we arrive at the Lukla Airport, the high place airport in Nepal. And the journey to the Himalayan begins after registering an entrance card at Lukla Tourism Checkpoint.
From Lukla, we begin our EBC trekking and head toward Phakding. Then trial formally commences after entering through Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Memorial gate. At first, the trail drops down to Thalsaroa and Cheeplung. We can have the spectacular vista of surging Dudh Khoshi river on the way to Cheeplung. From Cheeplung, the trail crosses through the suspension bridge over Thado Khola offering the view of Mt. Khumbila before reaching Ghat.
The trail continues to Phakding, which takes about 2 hours inclined walk offering a spectacular demonstration of the prayer wheels, mantras painted Mani stones and gompas.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar Trekking (3,440m/11,283ft.)
The trail from Phakding to Namche is so enchanting though it is a long and tiring walk. In the beginning, the trek follows the bank of Dudh Koshi River leading to various Sherpa villages: Rimijung, Zamfute, Benkar, and Chhamuwa offering the serene beauty in the Himalayan region. After registering the entrance card at Chhamuwa, we climb through the magnificent forest of rhododendron, fir and Mongolia trees. Then we have to submit the entrance card and National Park entry card as we arrive at the border of Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo Village.
From Monjo trail continues along the riverbed to the confluence of the Bhote and Dudh Koshi Rivers. Then the trail climbs steadily, crossing the high Tenzing-Hilary suspension bridge. Finally, with the glimpse of Everest and the Nuptse-Lhotse, three hours’ ascent through pine forest leads to Namche Bazaar.

Acclimatization Day – Hike to Everest View Hotel (3,962m/12,995ft.) Walking Distance 3-4 km, Duration: 3 to 4 hours
Before moving up to a higher elevation, we have acclimatization day in Namche. Namche Bazaar is considered the Gateway to Everest and is the biggest town along the Everest trail.
First, we will walk to the other settlements of the Khumjung Valley, then we will head toward the Everest View Hotel. It is one of the highest placed hotels in the world. From here you can have a panoramic view of Mt. Khumbila, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Similarly, we can hike to Syangboche airstrip, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Namche village from the runway. After exploring these places, you can hike back to Namche have a rest. Overnight at Namche Lodge.
Namche to Tengboche Trekking(3,860m/12,660ft.) Walking Distance 10-11 km, Duration: 5 hours
After a well-spent day at Namche, today’s trail continues along the rushing glacial water of the Dudh Koshi with the views of the mountains and rises to Sanasa. Here the routes to Gokyo and Everest Base Camp fork. The trail to the right descends to cross the Dudh Koshi on a suspension bridge near Phunki Thenga. It is the lowest point north of Namche Bazaar.
Then entering the Imja Khola Valley, the trail rises steeply and through the rhododendron forest to the hilltop village of Tengboche.

Tengboche to Dingboche Trekking (4,410m/14,464ft.) Walking Distance 11-12 km, Duration: 5 hours
After breakfast in Tengboche, we head toward Dingboche. The trail drops to Debuche crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola and gradually ascends to Pangboche with the view of Ama Dablam.
Then the trail follows the river closely and it gradually rises to its confluence with the Lobuche Khola. Our uphill trek with the amazing view of Lhotse, Island Peak and Ama Dablam reach the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche. Overnight at Dingboche local Tea House
Acclimatization Day
It’s another acclimatization day in our EBC trek, as the trail takes elevation above 4,000m. Dingboche is the perfect place for the final acclimatization so we enjoy the rest day, climate, landscape, tradition in Chhukung valley. Today, we will have a 400m climb to the Nabkartshang Gompa, on the ridge north of Dingboche village. This point offers the view of Mt. Makalu, the fifth highest mountain in the world to the east and an amazing view of Mt. Ama Dablam and the valley floor. We also visit Nangkar Tshang Gompa on the way to return to Dingboche. Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910m/16,105ft) 11-12 km, Duration: 5 hours
From Dingboche, we head toward Lobuche after breakfast. The trail climbs to a ridge providing towering views of Taboche Peak, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Khumbutse and Cholatse. Continue through Yak pastures before crossing a wooden bridge over a roaring stream to Duglha.
From Duglha, the trail traces along the moraine glacial formed by Khumbu glacial. Everest is hidden behind the views including tearing the wall of Nuptse and Lhotse. Following the valley upstream for about an hour to Lobuche, located at the foot of giant Lobuche peak.

Lobuche to Gorakshep (5,180m/16,990ft.) Everest Base Camp (5364m/17594ft) and back to Gorakshep Trekking
Today is a long rewarding day, with a difficult walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp. Following the windblown and rocky path, we get at the human settlement called Gorakshep. Gorakshep is the junction from where the path separates to Kalapatthar and EBC.
The trail from Gorakshep is full of sandpit and boulders which makes the hike more strenuous. Finally, about 2 hours hike to our destination, Everest Base Camp. Everest Base Camp, the world highest base camp on the Khumbu Glacier, opposite the dreaded icefall- the most adventurous section of an Everest ascent. You will have the heavenly sight of Khumbu Icefall from here. Similarly, the stunning view of the Khunbutse and Lingtren mountains can be seen.
After some rest, we trek back to Gorakshep.

Gorakshep - Kala Patthar (5,545m/11,283ft.) then trek back to Pheriche (4210m/13810ft)
Another rewarding day of the trek, a trip to the Kala Patthar summit. It will be one of the most difficult. We will have a very early morning walk to the Kala Patthar to see the sunrise view. It offers a stunning view of Mt. Everest along with Lingtren, Khumbutse, Nuptse, Pumori.
Afterwards, we will trek back to Gorakshep. Then the journey from the land of Himalayans descends the same route toward Sherpa village Lobuche. Following the route of Douglas village, the trail stops at a fork. Lastly, the route of Phulaji Kala village, stroll down towards the wide valley, Pheriche.
Pheriche is famous for the elementary health camp that runs under Himalayan Rescue Association.

Pheriche to Tengboche (3,860m/12,633ft.) Walking Distance 14-15 km, Duration- 7 hours
From Pheriche, the trail descends to the village Tengboche. The trail continuously drops down to Orso and the flat trail following the west bank of Imja river to Somare. the trail again drops down to Pangboche along Imja Khola and climbs up to Debuche. And the walking through the dense and tall rhododendron forest and suspension bridges to Tengboche
Tengboche the village has the largest sacred monastery in this region and it performs the longest Mani Rimdu festival in the month of October-November.

Tengboche to Namche Trekking (3,440m/11,280ft.)
After breakfast, we descend to Phunki Thenga from Tengboche. Following the downhill and uphill trail for a short distance and again ascending to Sanasa the same route before. From here the trail drops to Khyangjuma village presenting a relaxing sight of charming landscape and massifs while climbing the ridge to Namche. We arrive back in Namche in the afternoon, we can enjoy our remaining day in Namche.

Namche to Lukla Trekking (2,845m/9,333ft.)
We start our trek after breakfast in the morning, we descend crossing several suspension bridges and further trekking to the Dudh Koshi river. Following the path passing through the small gompas, rhododendron forest with a pleasant environment for a few hours to Namche. Then gradual ascending to Lukla, with prayer flags, Chortens, Mani walls and miniature Gompas lined throughout the village.

Lukla to Kathmandu Flight & Drive to Hotel
On the last day of our trek, we will have early breakfast in Lukla fly to Kathmandu. After about 30 mins thrilling scenic flight you arrive at Kathmandu. One of our representatives will be at the airport and you will be transferred to the hotel. In the evening you will enjoy a cultural dinner with the Bold Himalayan team.
