Overnight in Kathmandu.

After having our delicious breakfast, we will visit the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites including the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swyambhunath), and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath) which is one of the largest stupas in the world. The city life is vibrant as the culture and heritage reflect their ethnic identity. Later, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we can meet our trek leader, guide, and other team members. Bold Himalaya will give us brief detail regarding our trek as well as provides us with an opportunity to ask any questions we may have regarding our upcoming adventure. You can also go for last-minute shopping for your trek. You will find each and every branded trekking gear at Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu

Our first-day journey begins with our delicious morning breakfast. Dhunche is the starting point of our actual trek to Gosaikunda. We will head north out of Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Dhunche, the beautiful settlement of the Tamang community. The first part of our drive up to Trishuli Bazaar is quite effortless. We will pass through beautiful villages, rivers with amazing views of the Himalayan peaks like Langtang and Ganesh Himal. The path now moves along a gravel road. After our entrance to Dhunche, we will roam around the village and spend our time with locals. Overnight at lodge.

We will start our trek after our breakfast in Dhunche.  We will ascent towards Shin Gompa along with the breathtaking views of Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Annapurna, and Tibetan mountain. The way continues steeply through the forests of oak and hemlock and then steeply via rhododendron forest and pastures. After hiking roughly for 2 hours, we will reach Deurali (2500m), a small village on the way to Shin Gompa with few tea houses.

Passing through the beautiful trail with rivers and waterfalls, we will reach Dhimsa (2900m) after 3 hours of hiking. From Dhimsa, the climb is a little difficult as the trail goes uphill through beautiful pine forests. We have to trek steep uphill sections to reach Shin Gompa (3200m), a settlement located at the lap of a pine forest. People also call this place ‘Chandanwari’.

Shin Gompa has a lot to offer to its visitors. A Yak cheese factory and old Buddhist monasteries are the major attractions of Chandanwari. We will try the tasty Yak cheese and visit Sing Gompa. We can see Langtang Mountain broadens including Ganesh Himal from here.

In the evening, after a yummy meal with lots of cheese, we will spend our night in Shin Gompa

Today is the most exciting day in our adventure Gosaikunda Helambu trek. Following our delicious breakfast in Shin Gompa, we will hike uphill to Gosaikunda (4380m). Today, the hiking will be comparably more difficult than yesterday

The starting journey goes to a steep climb up a ridge that marks a transition zone between rich, moist mountain forests and dry scrub vegetation on the slopes. The slope is the habitat for the red pandas and provides a magnificent view of snowcapped Ganesh Himal.

After hiking for nearly 1 and a half hours, we will reach Cholangpaty (3500m). Now the views of mountains like Langtang Lirung (7234m), Langtang Ri (7205m), Manaslu (8163m), and Ganesh Himal (7422m) are close and clear.

Again, after walking for 2 hours, we will reach Lauribinayak (3900m). From Lauribinayak, a panoramic view of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Langtang Ri can be enjoyed.

Then, after walking for roughly 2 hours, we will reach a temple called Sakyamuni, which carries both Hindus and Buddhist values. After walking for half an hour, we will see the first lake, Saraswati Kunda, then Bhairav Kunda and the Mighty Lake ‘Gosaikunda’. It is a glacial pond where every year thousands of pilgrims, both Hindus and Buddhists visit for a holy dip in icy water as it is believed that it washes the sin of a hundred lifetimes. The holy temples like Shiva Mandir, Gosaikunda Mahadev, and Trishul Dhara can be explored in around this destination. We will also visit other nearby lakes and spend the night in a tea house.

We will start our trek after having breakfast at Gosaikunda. Today, we will hike through the gradual paths and small lakes towards the adventurous pass, Lauribina Pass (4610m). After the pass, we will enter the Helambu region. Helambu Region offers us ample opportunities to explore unique and traditional villages, Tamang culture, tradition, and their lifestyle along with snow-capped mountain ranges, a view of glaciers from low elevations, diverse flora and fauna, and so on.

The trail descends alongside a stream and rocky trail towards the valley of Phedi. Moving further, the trekking route follows the valley on rough trial towards Dupi Chaur. After having lunch at Dhupi Chaur, we will walk across moraines and climb towards Kasturi danda. We will pass through small lakes, small hills, and breathtaking natural scenarios, forests until we reach a beautiful settlement at Ghopte. Overnight at tea-house in Ghopte.

Today, we will descend from Ghopte. We will walk through numerous uphill and downhill across the dense forests, boulders of old moraines until we reach the village of Thadepati. Thadepati is the middle point from where the routes of longer Helambu Valley treks separates. From here the two routes separate one towards the Melamchi Gaun and another towards the Kutumsang.

We will follow the shorter route of Helambu valley trekking. The trail descends through the beautiful landscapes, rhododendron forests, and ridges towards the village of Mangengoth. We will stop here for our lunch and after that, we will continue our trail passing through beautiful Tamang settlements until we reach the beautiful Kutumsang village. This village is one of the popular villages in the Helambu region with the settlement of Tamang communities and their own primitive living standard. Overnight at tea-house in Kutumsang.

Today, we will start our day descending through classical hills and delightful villages towards Gul Bhanjyang. We will continue our walk enjoying the panoramic views of the Himalayas and descend through the ridges, beautiful rhododendron forests towards the village of Thotundanda. From here, we will descend through a stone staircase to the teashops at Chipling. After having our lunch at Thankune Bhanjyang, we will trek down towards Pati Bhanjyang, a unique settlement of Tamang and Chhetris. Then, we will continue our trek gently climbing up via meadows and growing fields until we reach the small settlement of Tamang people at Chisapani. Overnight at teahouse in Chisapani.

Today is the last day of the trek in the land of the Himalayas. Today, we will wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise view over the snow-capped mountains. We can see the 180-degree panoramic views of mountain ranges including Mt. Gaurishankar, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Annapurna, and Langtang ranges. We will walk slowly climbing towards the small village of Borlang which is close to Shivapuri hills. From here, we will descend through the forests, army barrack, towards the Tamang settlement of Mulkharka village. After a short hike, we will reach Sundarijal where we will have our lunch.
