It is also considered one of the sacred places for the Nepalese people where people offer animals and the gold, silver with a selfless act of compassion and prayer to please the goddess. The goddess is also known as Mukkumlung. The best season to trek is autumn (Sep-Oct-Nov) and spring (March-April-May).  The forest ecosystem along the way offers a diversity of birds, wildlife and flowers. The entire Kanchanjunga range can be seen in this trek.  Devotees can also visit monasteries situated in Olangchung Gola and Lungchung. The falls at Sawa and the pond of Timbung during autumn and spring are worth visiting every year.
