Day 1

Drive from Kathmandu-Dhulikhel and hike to Namobuddha via Panauti

Pick up from Kathmandu

Early in the morning, after a good breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your hotel. Then, we drive to Dhulikhel, which is approximately 1.5 hours, passing through picturesque villages and terraced fields. After we reach the Dhulikhel hiking point, we start our hike to Namo Buddha.

Begin Hike from Dhulikhel

Start hiking through quiet forest trails lined with pine, oak, and rhododendron trees. The trail presents beautiful views of the Himalayan range, including Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, and Gaurishankar mountains.

Reach Namobuddha Monastery

After arriving at the spiritual Namobuddha Monastery, an important Buddhist pilgrimage site, we explore the monastery, enjoy the peaceful surroundings and viewpoints, and witness traditional Buddhist rituals.

Tea/Lunch Break at Namobuddha

Enjoy a light snack or local meal at a nearby cafe or lodge while soaking in the views of the hills and valleys.

Continue Hike toward Panauti

We continue our walk and descend from Namobuddha towards the valley, passing through traditional Tamang and Newari villages. We experience local lifestyles, farms, and old foot trails.

Arrive at Panauti

Panauti is an ancient and historic Newari town. There, we explore ancient temples, including Indreshwar Mahadev Temple, local culture, traditional houses, and terraced farms, which are perfect for photography and nature lovers. Enjoy lunch or refreshments at a local restaurant.

Start the return drive to Kathmandu

Then, we drive back to Kathmandu from Panauti while enjoying the changing colors of the hills and sunset views over the valley.

Drop off at your hotel
